Best Parilla in Buenos Aires

Best parrilla in Buenos Aires: Ok, we know Buenos Aires is full of good grills. But not all meet the same conditions: good price, good meat, good atmosphere. El Mosquito is in the neighborhood of Almagro, a typical neighborhood, the cradle of tangueros. You have to go early (around 8.30 pm), otherwise, you will not get a place or you will have to wait a lot. Go and enjoy the best meat of Almagro. It’s a good chance to leave away touristic neighborhoods and get to know other parts of the city. Even so, sometimes the waiter speaks English, but if he doesn’t, you know what to do: practice your Spanish!

In this place, you can eat all cuts of meat, but we highly recommend the top ribs. Ask for french fries and good wine (the options are very good too) and you will get the best quality of everything. Try the appetizer (pickled aubergines) for entrance.

They also offer an “all you can eat” Menu. If you are brave, try that option and eat a little bit of each part of the cow.

Okay, where is it? Here: El Mosquito – Juan Domingo Perón 4499. If you go to that neighborhood, you will also have the chance to get out of the most trendy area: Palermo. Almagro is an alternative neighborhood you can go to, where prices are cheaper and everything is more authentic. We think this is a big deal because if you want to learn Spanish, you need to get in touch with more people besides tourists.

Besides, the restaurant is very close to a beautiful park (Parque Centenario), where you can enjoy a fair on the weekends. So, hit two targets with one shot and visit the restaurant and the park.

Wanderlust was my second home during my 5 months living in Buenos Aires. I got to know Argentina through this amazing school and experiences while studying with my professor, Vicky.
